Privacy Policy

At a glance:
- We collect what we need to build your website, run your account and take payment.
- We do not sell your personal information or use advertising trackers.
- Payments go through Stripe; we never see your full card number.
- Once your site is online, your visitors’ information is handled by you and your hosting company, not by us.

Jeff Kriegisch, doing business as NORDSTACK Works (“NORDSTACK”, “we”, “us”) is responsible for the personal information described here. This policy explains what we collect, where it comes from, how we use it, who helps us, and the choices you have.
What we collect

Where it comes from
- From you: when you create an account, fill in the Client Form, buy, or contact us.
- Automatically: when you use the builder or open a preview link.
- From others: Stripe tells us whether a payment succeeded and which discount code was used; if you sign in with another service, it shares your name and email; and for free previews we use information the business has made public.
How we use it
- To provide NORDSTACK: your account, drafts, previews, finished site, launch guide and support.
- To take payment and keep purchase records.
- To send messages about your account, purchases and updates.
- To invite a business to view a free preview, with an easy way to opt out.
- To keep NORDSTACK secure and prevent fraud or misuse.
- To improve NORDSTACK, using information that cannot identify you where we can.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, and to protect our rights.
- If NORDSTACK’s business is ever sold or reorganized, information may pass to the new owner under this policy.
Who helps us
We use a small number of providers to run NORDSTACK. They process information only to provide their service to us:
- Netlify: website hosting, sign-in accounts and invitation emails, storage of your drafts, photos and previews, and form messages.
- Stripe: payments, receipts and fraud prevention, under Stripe’s own privacy policy.
- Google Fonts and cdnjs: deliver fonts and code libraries to your browser, which shares your IP address with them.
- Your email provider and ours, when we write to each other.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-site advertising.
Your website’s visitors
Once you download your site and put it online with a hosting company, NORDSTACK does not receive information about your visitors. Your site, your hosting company and any services you connect (such as a booking app) handle it. If your site collects visitors’ details, for example through a contact form, you are responsible for telling them how you use that information.
Emails and texts
We send messages about your account and purchases. Marketing messages and free-preview invitations always include a way to opt out. If we text you, reply STOP to stop. We never give your phone number or email to others for their own marketing.
Cookies, storage and tracking signals
We use a sign-in cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser’s storage to keep a working copy of your draft. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not track you across other websites, so “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control signals do not change how NORDSTACK works.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and site content while your account is open, and delete them within 90 days after you ask us to close it. We keep purchase records as long as tax and accounting rules require (generally 7 years). Information for a free preview is deleted on request, and we keep a note of your opt-out so we don’t contact you again.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct, download or delete your personal information, or ask us to stop contacting you, by emailing jeff.kriegisch@nordstackworks.com. We may need to confirm it is really you before acting. Prospect emails include an opt-out link.
California residents and residents of other states with privacy laws: you may have rights to know what we collect and why, to correct or delete it, and to opt out of any sale or sharing for advertising (we do neither). You can use an authorized agent, and we will not treat you differently for using your rights.
Where your information is stored
NORDSTACK and its providers store information in the United States.
Security
Information travels over encrypted connections, sign-in is required for your projects, and payments go through Stripe. No online service can be perfectly secure, so please keep your sign-in details private. If a security problem affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.
Links to other sites
Our pages and launch guides link to other companies, such as hosting companies and domain registrars. Their privacy policies apply when you use their sites.
Children
NORDSTACK is for business owners aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version with a new effective date, and email you about significant changes.
