Terms of Service

Effective October 30, 2026

At a glance (this summary is to help you read the Terms; it is not part of them):

• You own your content; we use it only to run NORDSTACK.
• You pay once at checkout. All sales are final, except as our Refund Policy describes.
• You get 30 days of free updates; after that you can always re-download your last version, and an Update Pass adds 30 more days.
• Once your site is online, it is yours to run, including its own legal requirements.
• Talk to us first if something goes wrong. We will try to fix it.

These Terms are an agreement between you and Jeff Kriegisch, doing business as NORDSTACK Works (“NORDSTACK”, “we”, “us”). They apply when you use the NORDSTACK website builder at build.nordstackworks.com, view a preview we made for you, or buy a website from us. By creating an account, using the builder or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms, our Refund Policy and our Privacy Policy. If you accept these Terms for a business, you confirm you are authorized to do so, and “you” includes that business.

1. Who can use NORDSTACK

You must be at least 18 and use NORDSTACK for a business you own or are authorized to represent. Accounts are by invitation. Keep your account details accurate and your sign-in details private; you are responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has accessed it.

2. What NORDSTACK does

You answer questions in our Client Form, add your text and photos, and generate a watermarked preview of your website. When you are happy with it, you can buy the finished site and download it, with a personal launch guide. NORDSTACK does not host your site, register your domain or provide email; you arrange those with companies you choose, under their own terms.

3. Your content

You own the text, photos, logos and other material you add (“your content”). You give us permission to store, process and display your content only as needed to run the service: to save your drafts, build your previews and produce your finished site. You confirm that you have the right to use everything you add, and that your site’s claims (such as services, prices, licenses and credentials) are accurate.

4. Your website and your visitors

Once you put your site online, you run it. You are responsible for your site and how you use it, including any legal requirements for your business or industry, any privacy notice your site needs (for example, if it collects visitors’ details through a contact form), and any tools or booking services you connect to it. We do not give legal advice about your site.

5. Reviews must be real

Testimonials and reviews on your site must come from real clients and reflect their honest opinions. Sample reviews we provide are for previews only. They are labelled “Sample review”, and your site cannot be downloaded until you replace or remove them.

6. Sample photos and text

We may fill empty spots with sample photos, wording and colors for your type of business. Sample photos are licensed to you for use on the website you buy from us, for the one business it was bought for. You may not resell them or use them elsewhere. You can replace any of them with your own at any time.

7. Price and payment

The price is shown on the purchase page and at checkout. It is a one-time payment; there are no monthly fees from NORDSTACK. Payments are processed by Stripe under Stripe’s own terms; we do not see or store your full card number. Discount codes apply only as stated when they are issued. Any taxes due are added at checkout where required. Prices may change in the future, but a change never affects a purchase you have already made. If a price is shown in error, we may correct it before your payment is accepted.

8. Disputed charges

If you have a problem with a payment, please contact us first; we can usually resolve it quickly. If you dispute a charge with your bank instead, we may pause downloads and updates for that site while the dispute is open.

9. What you receive

After payment you can download your finished website without the watermark, either as one file or, for large photo galleries, as a site folder (one page plus a photos folder). Your content stays yours. NORDSTACK keeps all rights in its builder, templates and design system. We give you a permanent, non-exclusive license to use, host and modify the code of your purchased site for the one business it was bought for. You may not resell or share the templates, or use them to make other sites or a competing service.

10. One site, one business

Each purchase covers one website for one business, named at checkout. A different business needs its own site.

11. If people disagree about who owns a site

Sometimes two people claim the same site, for example a salon owner and a stylist who has left. We try not to take sides, but we may decide based on who holds the account and which business was named at purchase, ask for reasonable proof (such as a business license), and pause the site in the builder until the matter is settled.

12. Updates

For 30 days after purchase, you can edit your site in the builder and download updated versions at no charge. After that, you can always download your last version again. To download newer changes, you can buy an Update Pass (price shown at checkout), which adds another 30 days of updates.

13. Refunds

All sales are final, except as described in our Refund Policy.

14. Free previews for businesses

We may create a free, watermarked preview website for a business using information that business has made public, and invite the owner to look at it. Viewing a preview is free and creates no obligation. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time using the opt-out link in our message, or by emailing jeff.kriegisch@nordstackworks.com; we will turn off the preview link and not contact you again.

15. Showing your site as an example

We may show your finished site, or a picture of it, as an example of our work on nordstackworks.com or our social media. Tell us at jeff.kriegisch@nordstackworks.com if you prefer we do not, and we will stop.

16. Your ideas

If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them to improve NORDSTACK without owing you anything.

17. Acceptable use

Do not use NORDSTACK to create anything unlawful, misleading, hateful or infringing; to impersonate anyone; or to interfere with or try to break into the service. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

18. Reporting copyright problems

If you believe content on a NORDSTACK preview or site infringes your copyright, email jeff.kriegisch@nordstackworks.com with the content’s location, what you own, and your contact details. We will look into it and may remove the content.

19. Other companies’ services

NORDSTACK relies on other providers, including Netlify (hosting, accounts, storage), Stripe (payments) and Google Fonts. Your hosting company and domain registrar have their own terms. We are not responsible for services we do not control.

20. Changes and availability

We may improve or change the builder, templates and these Terms. We will post updated Terms with a new effective date, and email you about changes that meaningfully affect your rights. Changes do not apply to purchases already made. We aim to keep NORDSTACK available but cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted, so keep your downloaded site safe.

21. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events we cannot reasonably control, such as outages at our providers, internet failures, natural disasters or government action.

22. Disclaimer

NORDSTACK is provided “as is”. We do not promise that your website will bring a particular number of clients or results, or that it will work with every host or browser forever. Some places do not allow these disclaimers, so they may not all apply to you.

23. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to NORDSTACK is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data.

24. Your responsibility to us

If a claim is made against us because of your content, your site or your breaking these Terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it.

25. Ending your account

You can ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms. Sites you have already bought and downloaded remain yours to use under section 9. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as 3, 9, 22, 23, 24 and 26) continue after your account closes.

26. Resolving problems

If you have a concern, contact us first at jeff.kriegisch@nordstackworks.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally. If we cannot, these Terms are governed by the laws of California, and disputes will be handled in the courts of Ventura County, California, unless the law requires otherwise.

27. General

These Terms, the Refund Policy and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about NORDSTACK. If part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later. You may not transfer your account or these Terms without our written agreement; we may transfer them if NORDSTACK’s business is sold or reorganized, and will tell you if we do.
